Day 3: (Ab)normal Days

Waking up, Adda began her morning as normally as possible before remembering she was one eye short. The previous day's events began to flood her mind, and her usual morning cheer faded quickly. She sighed, taking the first aid kit to the bathroom and changing the bandages on her eye quickly, trying not to look too much. She put her clothes on before leaving her room, ready to head to the kitchen for some much needed breakfast.

Herbert's body was stuff, and sometime during the very early morning he nodded off into a waking sleep. He snorted, his head bobbing up from where he was sitting next to the door. Looks like nobody tried to come in. he slowly stood up, his joints aching from sitting so long in such a position.
"Gawd dawmnet." he grumbled, his slurring especially bad as he made his way out his door and to the cafeteria. He needed some coffee. Strong coffee. And a nap.

The announcement was loud enough to wake him up, to his own anguish. He sat up in his bed and yawned. He hadn't gotten a nice sleep in a good idea to do that in the safety of his own goddamn room from now on. Plus, he had to admit, his bed was pretty comfy. His pillow didn't feel brand-new, which was a little weird, but he didn't question it.

He got dressed, today with a lavender tie, and strode out, not exactly sure where he was headed. After a second's hesitation, he headed off to the cafeteria. Sure, he already ate, but a little extra food couldn't hurt.

Oscar was sitting at a table in the library, his head about to hit a book when the announcement blared.
He had just avoided falling asleep and ending up in trouble, but the announcement still made him nervous.

"No no no," Oscar groaned. He did not like the sound of a student meeting at all. He gathered what he had now turned into a pile of notes and haphazardly stuck them into a book. He then took that book and left for the cafeteria, hoping to be at the cafeteria while everyone else was there.

Asher let out an over dramatic yawn, then set his hat back atop his head. He straightened out the sheets on his bed a bit then tossed the pillow down atop them. He stepped outside, and without waiting around for anyone else began to stroll along towards the kitchen.

Laura's eyes shot open, and a sick smile appeared on her face. A class meeting? That sounded like it could be fun. Too bad it would have to wait until later in the day.

At first, she tried to get up and walk over to her wardrobe, like she would any other day. But she forgot about her bad leg and fell on her face when she tried to get out of her bed. It hurt, and her leg ached with pain, but Laura couldn't help but giggle at her clumsiness.

After her little moment, she managed to grasp the sheets on top of her bed and heave herself back up, then grasped for her crutches from where they were resting on her nightstand. From there it didn't take too long for her to get dressed. She would save the teeth brushing and the face washing for later. Honestly, how important is hygiene when you're trapped in a psychotic high school environment?

Afterwards, she staggered out into the hallway to see if anyone else was already outside. The halls might have been scary at night, but during the day Laura figured there was nothing to be afraid of. She decided to make her way to the cafeteria for breakfast.

Adda walked lightly down the steps, moving at a decent pace and stumbling a few times. She chuckled a bit to herself.
"Well, I guess it's good that this isn't a normal school... geometry wouldn't be too fun!"
From there she walked into the kitchen, piling her plate high with various fruits and grabbing a carton of milk.

She tilted her head ever so slightly up, listening to the announcement. As it ended, she finished her bag of pretzels (they were the only thing she was positive she could stomach at the moment) and headed off to the kitchen to throw out her garbage.
She spotted Adda as she walked in and waved, walking over. "Hello, sleep well?" she asked.

Fighting to keep the food on the plate, Adda smiled to Marci. "Well, I must've, since I managed to sleep through the entire night," she responded as she walked over. She continued as she walked over to a table, "What about you?"

Once Herbert reached the kitchen, he wasted no time in setting a pot of coffee up, leaning back against the counter while he heard it brewing. Soothing noise, coffeemakers. Or maybe he was too tired. he gave the side of his face a light slap and tried to open his eyes wide. He needed to distract himself before he fell asleep standing up. He took out a carton of blueberries, intending to eat them all himself once his coffee was done.
And a minute later, he finally had his own mug of joe and walked over to the table nearest the fishtank. He set his food down and rubbed the glass affectionately with a finger before leaning down onto the table. He yawned. God, he was tired. he laid his head down onto the table, eventually starting to snore.

As Asher walked down the stairs with his usual demeanor, he missed a step, stumbling a bit. A nervous smile emerged on his face. As much as he tried to act like nothing from yesterday happened, it wasn't working. His subconscious wouldn't let him forget such an important event, or at least not anytime soon.

He slipped into the kitchen and put some bread into a toaster, unsure if he could really handle much more. He could always get more food later, after all.

Laura made her way into the cafeteria, and of course the kitchen right after. She noticed Marci and Adda hanging around, but didn't feel the need to talk to either of them. They weren't exactly the type she usually hung out with. Asher was also there, but Laura figured she'd have plenty of time to talk to him later. She decided simply to grab a bagel, some crackers, and a water bottle, as she couldn't really carry much else, and resolved to go back to her room to eat them.

Despite her plans, when she walked back into the cafeteria she noticed Herbert dozing off out of the corner of her eye. How interesting! She walked over to him as slowly as possible, and only when she was just in front of him, with her voice as loud as possible, did she speak. "You avoided me last night! I had something important to tell you, too!"

Eloise had already begun to wake by the time she heard the announcement. She winced at being told to wake up by the bear now and almost instinctively shouted back at him.

Once her head began to clear of morning sleepiness, Eloise at last got up, got dressed and had an extremely quick shower. It was relaxing until she remembered just what they had found in a shower the other day. It wasn't a good start to the day. Muttering things under her breath, she stalked back into her room with her hands over her face and smelling quite nice.

At this point she was ready to head into the cafeteria. Eloise locked the door behind her, and navigated the hallways, distracted.

David walked in the cafeteria. He heard snoring, which was weird, since it was 7 AM. He realized who was sleeping near immediately and scurried over nervously. He noticed Laura was there too, but whatever, he'd deal for the moment.

He realized the sheer force of Laura's voice was probably enough to wake Herbert up, so he just held back and decided to watch whatever went on. And hopefully keep them from killing each other. That was a goal to work towards.

"I didn't sleep much, I couldn't, I guess," she shrugged, and grabbed a piece of toast, "I spent my night reading in the library, mostly. Much more relaxing than tossing and turning in bed to no avail." She followed Adda to the table, sitting across from her.

Asher snatched the hot, crisped bread from the toaster and quickly dropped it onto a plate- a normal one, this just wasn't a zoopal kind of day. He peeked out from the kitchen when he heard Laura's yelling, and sighed slightly as he headed to a table right around where Herbert was, in case a situation arose.

Herbert still wasn't fully asleep, and Laura's voice jolted him into consciousness, sending him rocketing back. The look on his face was probably murderous, and the bloodcurdling war cry he screamed probably didn't help. Almost immediately, he had two knives in his hands, held up defensively.
He visibly sagged when he finally realized he wasn't being attacked. "Bloody!" he hissed, dropping his stance and straightening back up. "Far chroisstake, hoi thot yah're gon sstack me."

Oscar speed-walked into the cafeteria now. He stumbled a bit past David, and then planted his book loudly on the table in front of his friends. It was apparent he was late because of a dropped book, as the papers were even more of a mess than before.

"G-Good Morning!" He put a bit more effort into his greeting this morning.

Laura recoiled when she saw Herbert's knives, but quickly regained herself. "You think I'd attack you?" she said in mock offense. "Herb, you wound me." After that, she twirled her ponytail for a moment before continuing.

"Anyway, you should be thanking me. You're aware sleeping outside of your dorm is against that bear's rules, right? You're really asking for it, aren't you?"

"Morning, Oscar!" Adda smiled, "Was your night as eventful as ours? Granted, a peaceful night was quite the blessing, eh?" She began to peel an orange as she spoke.

She smiled and laughed a bit at Oscar's...impressive entrance. "Good morning," she said back. "Coming from the library, I'd guess from all those books." She tried to peer at what they were, but the papers scattered around and obscured the grand majority of the titles. She stifled a laugh - some things don't change, she figured.

The hunter stowed his knives away, hissing something completely unintelligible under his breath.

"Tch. Oi ad none sleep lost noight. N'm used ta critters wakin' me up." He said, sighing. "Oi'sspose tha stross gotta me."
Almost begrudgingly, he whispered under his breath. "Thonks."

While working her way through the fruit, Adda continued.
"So, what do you guys think you'll be doing today? We've got quite a bit of time before the meeting after all."

Eloise finally made it into the cafeteria. Of course, the first thing she sees is Laura and Herbert having a confrontation, and she spins around and heads straight for the kitchen. Quite unlike her usual self, she didn't quite feel like getting involved.

She grabs an orange and a bowl of some unknown brand of strawberry cereal and finds herself heading towards the showdown by the fish tank. She couldn't not find out what was happening, she decided.
