Day 4: Abnormal Days

Adda stuck close to Marci. The smell had started to hit her, and she didn't like it. It felt to similar to the sensation from then- running around, smelling blood, not sure what each turn would present.

Eloise shook her head and jogged into the kitchen with almost equal urgency. She grabbed a bagel and a Juice Box, stood in the empty cafeteria for a few moments and then ran out. The silence was killing her.

God did something happen? Where is everyone?"

"Well, that would leave a stain on the wood, upupupupu..." Monobear said, somehow behind Laura. "Looks like you found something very interesting!"
He started to laugh, grabbing his stomach. Someone was having a good time, at least.
"What could it mean...? Time to play detective, folks!"

David stood outside the door to the library, the smell already overpowering him.
"I'm...I'm gonna s-sit this round out, guys! Tell me if, er, there's anything worth n-noting!"

Laura didn't have to think twice about what the bear was referring to. The table that she went to, which Oscar had been sitting at only a day ago, was absolutely covered in blood. As in a lot of blood. "What the hell is this!" she asked. Even she was disgusted by what she saw. "Where could that much blood even loving come from?"

At the sound of Monobear's voice, Herbert knew his doubts were confirmed. he wouldn't appear for no reason. He quickly walked over, saw the table, and proceeded to sigh, grabbing his face with both of his hands.
"What's wit that blood trail?" he said, once his hands were off his face. The smell was almost overpowering now. He was considering following it to see what gruesome surprise it had. "Someone's dead, aren't 'ey? Can't be this much blood without a dead body."

At the sound of Laura and Herbert's exclamations, Adda ran over, and, though a bit hesitant, followed the trail to its end.

Well, you know as they say, the sword is mightier than the pen.

For this poor bastard, at least.

Adda clasped her hands over her mouth, but it didn't hold back any of the shrill noise she let out. She collapsed to her knees next to Oscar, and slowly placed one of her hands on his. His skin wasn't ice cold yet, but it showed no signs of life either. Tears welled in her eyes.
She fell over.

Marci paused. She took a step back. Took two steps back. Three. Four. She covered her eyes. She waited for the announcement to startle her. Maybe if she wasn't looking, it would be a slight improvement.

As Asher neared the library, he heard a scream.
"Poo poo," he mumbled as he entered the room. It didn't take long to find where the others had gone, being as there was a distinct trail of blood. He slowed as he saw the others.
"Poo poo..." he mumbled again, though this time a bit louder.

Herbert was next to see the body, and the sight made him sigh and shake his head. Death never really hit him hard, but he knew what would come after, and that made him a bit sad.
he casually moved Adda over from where she fell down, since it probably wasn't good to threaten having her skirt/jacket sop up some blood. There was quite a bit of it, beginning to crust over. he casually began to inspect it, not touching it just yet. He wanted to hear the announcement, the verbal bang of the gun that signaled the beginning of the end.

"A body has been found! Following a brief period for investigation, we will proceed to the school trial! Good luck, you'll need it!"

All traces of the bear appeared to have disappeared, for now. However, there were some files on the table. Monobear files, to be exact.

• Victim: Oscar Barnes
  
• Death: Blood loss caused by stabbing repeatedly with a slightly cylindrical object. Heart was pierced, but not enough to stop.
  
• Time: 11:43 pm

The announcement warned her of what was to come, and as Laura followed the others to where the trail led, she saw the body of Oscar. She couldn't help but let out a shriek at the gruesome sight. "Christ, not again!" she wailed. "Who the gently caress did it this time?!"

Eloise navigated the hallways, getting more and more wary as she went; no one was ever this late to breakfast.

She took a few bites of her bagel as she went. Asher said he was going to the library, was everyone all gathered in there? Again? And that didn't exactly go well either.

Just as she entered the library, monobear's voice hit her like a bullet. The announcement threw her off guard this time.
"Oh god..." She heard a scream. The smell suffocated her. She regretted eating any of that bagel.

She sat down against a bookshelf, eyes snapped shut. She knew the second she opened them she would start crying, and wouldn't quite be able to stop. A few thoughts crossed her mind.

She opened her eyes slowly, realizing no tears were falling yet which was good. She got up and walked over to Adda, never letting Oscar into her sight, and half-carried, half-dragged her friend a few feet and leaned her against the bookshelf.

She turned to Oscar and stared blankly at him. Negative emotions hadn't quite hit her yet.

A few thoughts buzzed in her mind again. School trial soon. Execution after. Another death. Okay. We'll find out who it was. It'll be okay.

No, it wouldn't.

Albert stood up, though without the grace a girl in a skirt would usually use. He shook his head- it felt heavy, and something felt off. When he opened his eye, he realized what that something was. The fact that there was only one eye to open. He then got a good look at the corpse. There were no words to describe the sheer disappointment and pain he felt.

David heard all the screams and ran in. "G-guys?!" He smelled the blood more as he walked in and wish he had his hat or anything to cover his nose. He spotted the body in a moment or two and gasped. "O-oh. poo poo."

"Woll," Herbert said, breaking the silence. "Lets get ta work."
His eyes immediately flew to a bloodstained book leaning near the body. Something was there. The body was dragged, so why would there be blood...?
Stepping so he wasn't being disrespectful to the body, he placed a foot on a shelf and leaned over to inspect the area.

After taking some time to regain herself, Laura spoke again. "I agree with Herbert, for once," she said, then laid down her crutches and bent over Oscar, careful not to get blood on herself. She wanted to check if there was anything in his pockets. It seemed like the obvious course of action.

Asher slid into the crowd, not wanting to draw attention to himself- this wasn't the time to take center stage. He leaned down next to Laura, and started by closing Oscar's eyes- he had done it for Jaden, so it was only fair to do it for Oscar too. Meanwhile, he spoke.
"Hey, Book Club. You guys wanna guard the scene? Doubt you feel up to the dirty work."

Albert didn't know where to begin, so he rested a hand on Marci's shoulder.
"The colorblind kid's right. You should take it easy. In the meantime..." he turned his head to look back at the group by Oscar.
"Can someone tell me who the gently caress did this to Addy?!" The hand that wasn't on Marci's shoulder pointed to the bandaged eye.

She looked over at Albert. "Hello," she said. "Herbert did that...but Adda sort of started it, so...don't hurt him, alright? We don't need any more injuries at the moment."

She picked up a Monobear file and read it carefully, gasping at how cruel this person was. She looked at Asher and shook her head. "You've got that wrong. I'm going to figure out who did this. And they're going to pay for what they've done." She headed off to check the table where her and Oscar were studying the night before.

Herbert pulled out a somewhat bloody screwdriver. He held it with the tips of his fingers of his unbandaged hand and turned his head to look at everyone else. "Ah think ah found tha murder weapon." he said, solemnly.
Though Adda's transformation struck him as a surprise. "Wot?" he said, under his breath, nearly dropping the screwdriver when Marci ratted him out. He was prone as it is, and he was quite sure if whoever had Adda right now tackled him, he'd make more of a mess.

He was shocked.
"Addy... started it?" his hand fell to his side as his eye widened.
"What could she have done..." he shook his head again.
"Well, you kids do your thing. I'll watch over this tyke."
With that, he moved to take a position by Oscar.
